Kangana Ranaut had a debut from the thriller film Gangster, 2006. For which she also received Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Kangana Ranaut was born on March 23, 1986, in a Rajput family in Bhima village in Mandalay district of Himachal Pradesh. Her mother Asha Ranaut was a school teacher and father Amardeep Ranaut was a businessman. Her elder sister, Rangoli is Kangana's manager from 2014 and her younger brother is Akshat.
Her great-grandfather, Sarju Singh Ranaut, was a member of the Legislative Assembly and his grandfather was the official of the Indian Administrative Service. In Bhambla's ancient mansion, he has been brought up and told his childhood life as "normal and happy".
According to Ranaut, when she was growing up, he was "stubborn and rebellious".
